Gluten free Recipe serves 2 (you’ll have spare ingredients to use again). Get creative and enjoy this amazing seafood stew - it’s hearty but light and full of flavour. Remember all cooking appliances vary, this is only a guide. Fish suitable for home freezing. Use within 1-2 days of delivery. 

Kit includes:

2 x fresh hake fillets

1 x bag fresh spinach 

1 x tin mr. Organic plum tomatoes 

700gm jar x Perello butter beans

1 packet mild cooking chorizo 

1 bulb garlic

1 x onion

1 x 50gm fresh thyme

1 x packet ground paprika 

 

Ingredients for recipe:

250g butter beans 

spinach 

2 large hake fillets 

4 garlic cloves chopped

1 tsp thyme leaf, chopped, plus extra to serve

1 large onion, finely sliced

3 tsp paprika

 

 

Extras you’ll need:

6 tbsp olive oil

500 ml chicken stock

 

Method

  1. To start heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan. Fry the chorizo to the pan, fry until crisp.  

  2. Add another 2 tbsp oil and the onion to the pan, and cook for 5 mins until softened. Stir in the tomatoes & paprika, add the garlic. Add beans to the sauce with the chicken stock and season to taste.  Cook for 10 mins (add spinach 2 mins before serving and cook down). 

  3. Season the hake and heat the remaining 2 tbsp oil in the frying pan. Put the hake, skin-side down, in the pan and cook for 3 mins over a medium high heat to crisp up the skin. Flip the fish over and cook for a further 3-5 mins until cooked through. Spoon the bean mix into bowls, place the hake on top and finish with chorizo and a little more.
